On March 30th the E-Commerce giant Amazon has started the work on its biggest campus outside the US in Gachibowli and has said that India continues to be one of the highest markets as it looks to invest with long term focus. The campus will be spread over 10 acres and Amazon’s campus will be the country’s biggest campus.
Amazon’s second significant investment is made in Telangana within a year and last year it has opened one of its biggest fulfillment centers in the country. The foundation stone was laid by Telangana’s Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K.T. Rama Rao.
The campus will be ready by 2019 and would house thousands of employees who will be managing back end operations for Amazon’s various global business and technology terms. Rama Rao was extremely happy as Amazon will be the destination of choice for their new campus.
This new facility will provide job opportunities to thousands of people and provides a fillip to the economy. For Amazon, India continues to be one of our highest priority investments and they have planned to make an investment for long term basis.
