Since independence successive governments have refused to categorically assert that Subash Chandra Bose had survived in the air crash in Taipei and there is enough evidence in the files which was declassified by the Modi governance on Tuesday and have pointed that Nethaji may well have lived beyond 1945.

The content of these broadcasts are contained in File no 870/11/p/16/92/Po1 which has come from the Prime Minister’s office. The contents have presumably come from Governor House in Bengal as it is mentioned elsewhere in the same file that PC Kar, an official form Governor’s House have claimed that the monitoring service had picked up the broadcast on 31 meter band.

The first broadcast was on December 26th 1945 in Nethaji have said “I am at present under the shelter of great world powers. My heart is burning for India and I will go to India on the crest of a Third world war. It may come in ten years or even earlier. Then I will sit on judgment upon those trying my men at the red Fort”.

In the second broadcast he has said we should get freedom within two years. The file have also mentioned that Lord Mountbatten’s diary indicates that he has received a dispatch from British directorate of military intelligence after the news of Bose’s death in the air crash was broadcasted and in a message it was said Bose was escaped to Thailand.
