The Krishnagiri Municipality has intensified the Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign and has collected signed affidavits of sorts from adults through their children. Through the children, the sworn declaration forms for getting signatures from voters and the Municipality have printed 6000 forms presently.


The Municipal Commissioner G. Kannan has stated that their aim is to cover 20,000 voters and on the assumption that each form would bring four voters from each house. The forms were bearing oath cum declaration that has been distributed to the students across schools and was returned with signatures from adults swearing to cast their vote faithfully.


The form has extracted a signed oath which has come with the name and the EPIC of the voter. Meanwhile the Municipality has also introduced with rubber stamps with the message “May 16 Thavaraamal Vaakkalipom Maravaamal Vaakkalipom”.


The rubber stamps were distributed to 30 big stores in the city and to make appeal to affix the stamp on each and every bill which is issued to the public. Meanwhile the rubber stamps are given to the courier service centers and post offices and from Wednesday the seal will be fix the packages and posts and the message of voting will be conveyed.
