The International Fisherman Development Trust President P. Justin Antony has said that nearly Sixty three men including one from the neighboring state Kerala has been left by his employer for more than nine months in Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia.


Antony has stated that in a release it was said that the INFIDET has mailed the representation to the union and state governments to rescue the fishermen who were given job by the Saudi Arabia based Yousuf Khaleel Ibrahim Al Amery and by Yacoob Yousuf Khaleel.


Meanwhile the family members of 45 fishermen have thronged the collectorate complex and they have urged the district administration to take the issue with the state government and facilitate their return as soon as possible.


They have made a statement that 45 fishermen from Ramanathapuram and others are from Kanyakumari, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore and Thanjavur districts were left virtually at the cross roads as their employer hasn’t paid their salary for the past six months. One of the fishermen has said that they are in touch with the embassy for more than a month and there was no assistance from them.
