To attract the young students politically recently students of class X and XII were given NAMOpens with the inscription “I love Modi” for writing their board exams. The pens were neatly packed in saffron covers with the portrait of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Part’s symbol Lotus was the gift from a private firm.
The gift was distributed to the students before their board exams. Meanwhile the school principals in Ahmadabad have said that they have received packages which contain 5 to 10 packets of NAMO pens and in each packet there were five pens.
The pens were accompanied with a covering letter from the company which has claimed that the distribution of pens among students as a gift and was issued after the permission was got from the chairman of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) R. Shah and deputy chairperson.
The congress spokesperson Manish Doshi has said instead of making efforts to give quality education the BJP is allowing politicization in the education system. It was shocking as the Board has granted such type of politicization of school exams. The promoter of the company when asked why symbol of BJP as it is the electoral symbol, he said that those pens might be some leftovers.
