Those who are in TRS right now including their boss KCR are mostly
from Telugu Desam Party which was once a dominant force in Telangana as
well, not so long ago. Due to bifurcation politics, the TDP started
losing cadre and eventually many leaders to TRS.
This
is a different story. Moreover, people like Pocharam, Talasani, Kadiam
Srihari and many others worked as ministers under Chandrababu Naidu and
there are many things which remain between them. But a sensational
allegation by Nizamabad district MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has caused
uproar.
The Minister said in Telangana Assembly
that when he was in Babu’s cabinet in 2002, he opposed the
privatization of Nizam Sugars and as a result Babu slapped him in
private. Pocharam gave an emotional tone saying it didn’t hurt him
physically, but hurt his heart deeply!
Many
including TRS leaders were astonished to hear this. Congress and TDP
asked why he was silent for so many years and whether he will be silent
even if KCR slaps him now in private. But whatever it is even Babu’s
rivals admit what Pocharam said may not be true and it was unbecoming of
him!
