The Collector of Dindugal, T.N. Hariharan has stated that a mobile voter service center was set up in Dindugal to carry out the entire poll related services which are brought to the voter’s doorsteps and its aim is to enroll many voters in the polling stations which have very low turnout.


The Collector has catapulted the Mobile service center at Balakrishnapuram on Thursday and the mobile van will reach all the areas and carry out enrollment on the spot. Meanwhile the election officials will check their applications and will issue the voter ID cards and the voters can also check their names in the electoral roll.


This mobile service center can be used to add names of new voters, making addition and deletion of names and necessary corrections will be made in the electoral roll. The voters can also register their names on the payment of Rs.25 to avail color EPIC.


The Collector also said this mobile service center will move to all the area in the district and services will be provided to the people at their doorstep. The Bodi Collector N. Venkatachalam made an inspection which was given at the polling stations. A polling station will be set up in areas where there are 400 voters in the hill regions.
