People of Andhra Pradesh are witness to many bitter fights between the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP MLAs on various issues. However when it came to increasing their salaries both joined hands together and hiked the salaries without any opposition.
However YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy behaved in the most appreciable manner winning the hearts of all. In the assembly he opposed the bill by AP state government proposing to increase the salaries of MLAs.
Speaking in the assembly he said he is opposing the bill listening to his inner voice. He said Government and CM Chandra Babu call for people to cooperate saying they have no funds but government is now increasing salaries of MLAs.
He questioned this means only people should do sacrifices and not MLAs. He suggested to keep referundum in any of the constituency and then decide on the pay hike. He said such anti people policies are not good for anyone. He questioned whether representatives are living only on salary. All people are supporting Kotamreddy on this issue.
