A variety of election awareness campaigns were organized with the students, women from self help group, health workers, and many police personnel have taken a motorcycle rally on Sunday to achieve the 100% polling in the upcoming assembly elections.
The District Election Officer and the Collector S. Natarajan and the Superintendent of police has flagged off the motorcycle rally which was started from the Armed Reserve Police ground and they were spreading the message of voting rights and the strength of democracy.
The police personnel were riding pillion with placards and has urged the voters to exercise their votes without fail in the forthcoming assembly elections and the rally has passes through the busy thoroughfares of the city.
The Collector has handed over the poll materials and other essential items which are needed for 321 polling stations which have to be set up at 144 locations at Ramanathapuram Assembly constituency. Nataran was also implementing a series of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation activities and has also distributed the voter awareness pamphlets to the general public.
