Hyderabad University Vice chancellor Appa Rao Podile who was already under radar for the suicide of Rohith Vemula is now once again facing a hard time for plagiarism in his three papers published in 2007 and 2014.

Appa Rao admitted the mistake and he said such mistakes will not happen in future. As per reports, Six Plagiarized sentences were found in the article 'Root Colonization and Quorum Sensing are the Driving Forces of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) for Growth Promotion'.

The article was published in journal of Indian National Science Academy in 2014. The second paper which faced Plagiarism issue is, 'Induced Defense in Plants: A Short Overview'. This second paper was published in journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Apart from these two, in a third paper, he has copied one sentence from his own paper in the past. But Appa Rao said that this was not a deliberate attempt and he said he takes full responsibility for this mistake. Appa Rao just turned back to the University after two months leave due to Rohith Vemula's suicide.
