The Village Administrative Officer who was 27 years old was arrested by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption for demanding bribe for processing an application for making the patta transfer. The VAO Nasser Ahamad the VAO of Valayathur was holding an additional charge of Ariyamangalam of Arcot Taluk was arrested.
The complaint was made by Nagarajan and he has purchased 67 cents of land in Varadhrajapuram during 2007. He has also applied for the patta transfer and joint patta during 2013, but he did not get it and he has later applied now in online and went to the VAO’s office.
Nagarajan has told in a complaint that the VAO has demanded Rs.5000 for making the processing the application and Nagarajan has told that he will not be able to pay the amount, and the VAO has told him to pay Rs.1,500 initially.
Meanwhile the team of personnel has laid a trap for the Nasser Ahamad. The Police officials have arrested the VAO red-handed after her received the initial amount of Rs.1500 at the VAO office at Ariyamangalam and the VAO has been remanded.
