Two persons have been detained with respect to murder of a National Investigation Agency or NIA officer in UP's Bijnor. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr.Mohd Tanzil Ahmed who was investigating terror cases was shot from a very close range at least 16 times by two unidentified men.


Mr.Ahmed was shot when he was returning home to Delhi with his wife and children after attending a family wedding. His wife Farzana was also shot twice and she is at Hospital. Ahmed's Children who are 14 and 11 years old told the cops that as soon as shots were fired, their father asked them to duck immediately.


Also among the shooters one of them is believed to be a sharp shooter. Both are questioned by investigators. On inquiry, it was found that assassins have clearly mapped Ahmed's movements and they perfectly planned this murder.


Mr.Ahmed was investigating cases against suspected ISIS sympathizers and also an arms case that allegedly involved members of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
