The Human Resource Development Ministry has asked for an explanation from the Hyderabad Central University Vice Chancellor Appa Rao podile in the wake of reports that he has indulged in plagiarism with regard to the protest by the students against the suicide of Dalit Scholar Rohith Vemula.


Sources have said that there had been continued protest that the Hyderabad Central University Vice Chancellor Appa Rao Podile has made some plagiarisms in some parts of the research papers which was authorized by him.


Meanwhile the HCU’s Vice Chancellor has admitted that he has committed plagiarisms in three research papers which were absolutely co-authored by him and the plagiarism was made during the year 2007 and also 2014 respectively.


The HCU’s Vice Chancellor Appa Rao Podile is also facing much protest which was made by the students, social activists and presently the media reporters and the politicians are not allowed into the varsity campus and they are protesting to remove the VC from his post.
