YSRCP MLA Roja's suspension issue is not ending as both the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP are sticking to their guns. While Roja decided not to apologise in front of the privileges committee, AP government decided not to back off from the suspension.
Roja decided to fight the battle in courts and it is known that she approached Supreme Court. Supreme Court after hearing the case, served notice to the state government and assembly secretary over Roja suspension.
Court during the hearing felt it was not right to say that the action against the MLA was taken not under Rule 340 (2), but under Rule 194. It felt that High Court was not right in considering this aspect while passing the judgement.
Case is now adjourned to April 21. Now it has to be seen how AP government will argue the case as any adverse ruling will dent its image completely.
