The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has completed the identification of constituencies for all its allies on Friday, and in the forthcoming assembly elections the party would field candidates in 176 seats and while retaining all its sitting constituencies the DMK had allotted seats to their alliance partners from their respective wish.

The DMK party will discharge its election manifesto on April 10th. Besides the 176 candidates, the one candidate each of the N.R. Dhanapalan led PMK, retired IAS officer V. Sivagami and Pon Kumar’s Tamilnadu Peasants and Worker’s party would contest on the DMK’s “Rising Sun” symbol.

The constituencies which were allotted to them would be revealed to them when the DMK Party unveils its list of candidates. Puthiya Thamizhagam party Founder K. Krishnaswamy has told that he is satisfied with the allocation of constituencies. His party has been given Ottapidaram, Vasudevanallur, Srivilliputhur and Krishnarayapuram , which are all are reserved constituencies.

Dr. Krishnaswamy has also told that the prospects of winning is high for their alliance as its anti-incumbency wave is high and the other fronts in the fray are unlikely to benefit from the trend as voters who are very particular in removing the AIADMK regime will only vote for the DMK Party.
