The sudden meeting which was scheduled between Telangana Chief Minister and Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan this Saturday has given rise to speculations that KCR might be going in for a cabinet expansion immediately after Sri Rama Navami.
Sources
say that KCR has broached the subject of the expected Cabinet reshuffle
with the Governor, but there has been no mention of any date or time
frame. However, there are auspicious days after the festival of Sri Rama
Navami.
KCR is most likely expected to induct a
woman legislature into the Cabinet and he may be dropping few sitting
ministers. There are chances that Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari
might become the Chairman of Telangana Legislative Council, replacing
Swamy Goud.
The latter may be taken into the
Cabinet. In that case Konda Surekha who is also from the region
Warangal, will likely get a chance. Kadiam has already dropped hints
that he is not fine with shifting even as Surekha is hopeful of becoming
a minister again after six years!
