Rohith Vemula mother who went all the way to Delhi Chief Minister demanding a job for her other son can be happy as Arvind Kejiriwal has offered him a clerical post. Now this has once again triggered a huge debate on campus. Students and Teachers at Hyderabad Central University criticized Chief Minister Arvind Kejiriwal for 'insulting' academic qualifications of Raja (Rohit's brother).

Raja holds a Masters degree in Applied Geology. He said he is yet to accept the job offer. To recall, Arvind Kejiriwal met Rohith Vemula's mother on February 24th and said that his government would give Raja an 'appropriate' job.

However regarding this criticism, Delhi Government Officials responded and said, only Group C and D jobs (clerical level) can be offered on compassionate grounds. A Delhi Government official said, "When family came to Delhi asking a job for Rohith's brother we offered them a house.

As per rule book, this is possible without going through regular recruitment process. Our aim is to help the family overcome financial distress." Raja has 72.8% and has also cleared National Eligibility Test (NET). So he can be hired as an Assistant professor in any college in India.
