Short news mobile service application, Way2 has reached 500 million per month which was catapulted in a short span of three months. The Way2 Online is a leading new media organization has stated that the achievement is a validation of the unique model and it shows the potential regional language based news platform has in this country.
This application was catapulted last December and Way2 offers snippets in eight local languages, besides English. It has currently seen 300% growth in its daily active users in the last three months. Raju Vanapala, the Founder and CEO of Way2 have told that the news on the move is fast catching up with the younger generations.
Considering the time constraint and lifestyle among the users, they have developed a format which is unique in nature and also offers optional informations to its consumers. Through the available statistics, over 70% of the total traffic on the app comes from the local language consumers.
So far the Way2 has presently reached 6.5 million downloads while at least 6,50,000 visits the app every day. The eight regional languages are Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi and Bangla are the languages which brings the visitors to the app.
