At the University of Hyderabad, stray dogs continue to pose threat to the spotted deer and a total of 20 deaths were recorded in the past three months, which also includes the latest incident when a deer’s carcass was spotted near the electricity substation by Wild lens.


Wild lens are the student group who are working for the protection of wildlife in the varsity campus. On March 12th the student group has found another carcass and the Founder of Wild lens Jillapalli Ravi have told that they are feared due to 20 recorded deaths and many more spotted dears may have been victims of stray dogs.


The Wild lens Founder have also stated that despite many complaints which were submitted in the university, no action has been taken to pick the stray dogs from the campus. The spate of killings has forced the university authorities to pen a series of letters to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).


It was also stated that water crisis on the campus is also affecting the wildlife and fire breakouts are also happened by illegal trespassers. On Thursday the Wild lens team has handed over one guy to the varsity security officials for setting the campus fields on fire. Jillapalli have asked the varsity officials to initiate strict actions against the culprit who has lit fire in the campus.
