As if the ongoing defection spree is not enough for political
fodder, it is now reportedly the turn of former minister Balineni
Srinivas Reddy of Prakasam district who is expected to join the Telugu
Desam Party by dumping the YSR Congress party very soon.
The
senior and influential political leader Balineni, considered as a close
relative of YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, seems to be staying
away from the active party activities for many weeks as he was peeved at
Jagan for denying the MLC seat to him.
According
to reports, Jagan has more or less sidelined Balineni for reasons by
offering the MLC seat to Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose. It is heard that
Jagan’s uncle Y V Subba Reddy is doing everything for keeping Balineni
at bay in Prakasam district’s politics.
Sources
say that the TDP leadership contacted Balineni with help from media
house owner, who had reportedly convinced him to join the TDP.
Chandrababu Naidu has offered an MLC seat to Balineni to satisfy him. If
this goes through, Jagan's situation is going to be quite critical.
