On Sunday the Pattali Makkal Katchi’s Chief Ministerial Candidate has met people from medical profession like doctors, dentists, ophthalmologists, optometrists and some medical students who were gathered at a hotel in Vadapalani to hear his views on healthcare in Tamilnadu.
Mr. Ramadoss takes the opportunity to list out his achievements as a former Union Health Minister and in the past 10 years the maternal maternity have come down by 50% and while in case of infant mortality it has come down to 55% and he has told that the National Rural Health Mission has really worked wonders.
The audience lists many suggestions and had questions about his medical fraternity. He has nearly two hour meeting and his PA has intervened him thrice that he is running short of time. But he has told the PA that the people want to interact with him and he has told that let them ask whatever they need to ask.
The audience became restless and as they were hungry they have decided to end the meeting. When this correspondent has asked four young first year medical students about their opinion about Dr. Ramadoss’s lecture, they have just told “we were asked to come here and they have no interest in politics”.
