The country’s former Finance Minister and the senior Congress Leader P. Chidambaram has shown dissatisfaction over the number of seats and the choice of constituencies which was allocated by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Party to his party for the upcoming assembly elections.

After declaring the new party office at Pudukottai, he was speaking with the party cadres and he has told that the DMK has allotted only 41 seats and few of them are not the liking of the congress. He was not delighted with the number of seats and the selection of constituency.

Sources have stated that the AICC‘s Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s opposition to the quota system leads to groupism in the country which will determine how the seats are going to be allocated. Of the 41 seats the party will be contesting at least half of the seats will be given to the district presidents.

The candidates list is likely to be discharged on Tuesday, many of the TNCC are camping in New Delhi to get seats for their supporters and as long as the quota system exists the party will not flourish since only the faction leader gets importance and not the party, which was told by the TNCC leader.
