The two Telugu states on Sunday evening has received rainfall giving respite from the unusual heat wave were roasting people for a fortnight. Many parts of city like Banjara Hills, Khairatabad, Ameerpet, Uppal, Kapra, Cherlapally and Ghatkesar has received thundershowers letting a sigh of relief to the people.


Meanwhile, the rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm took two lives in separate incidents and also damaged few properties. A strong blow of gales has damaged crops in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.


A senior Meteorologist from the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad center has told that according to the weather chars there was some thunder storm activity over the city. On Sunday, Ramagundam has witnessed maximum temperature which recorded 45 degrees, Medak recorded 44 and Hanamakonda has recorded 43 degrees, Anantapur and Kurnool with 43 and Kadapa recorded 42 degrees.


Sunna Rao, an independent meteorologist has told that an anti-cyclonic circulation prevails over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and this kind of situation would prevail for few more days, mornings being sultry while evenings will witness rainfall for short duration
