There are reports coming in that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State
Units of the saffron party BJP have forwarded reports to their central
party regarding how Central government should not be considering
increasing the quota of Assembly seats for both the states much before
2019 elections.
They reportedly see no apparent
benefit from the BJP as part of this move and this will be of benefit
to TDP and TRS. The party units of both the states do not have any great
presence in the current number of constituencies.
They
cannot be even fielding any candidates in all these constituencies even
if they contest alone and hence they are appealing to the BJP
leadership not to consider any increase in seats.
Both
TRS and TDP are actually admitting more and more leaders of other
parties with the main hope being delimitation to fully accommodate them.
However this move is expected to back fire on the BJP if they will be
going in for alliance during 2019 elections.
