It is nothing but a cruel twist of fate that the famed paper mill
in Kaghaznagar will never be re-opening. The town’s name has become
Kaghaznagar after the Sirpur Paper Mill was set up in 1936. But now the
situation has changed and has only brought shame to the government.
More
than 3,000 families who have depended have now lost all the hope and
will to fight for the mill which was shut down a year ago. It struck a
deadly blow for not only people's lives, but also the whole town’s
economy. The existence of Sirpur mills created a lot of progress in the
surroundings.
There protests by hundreds of men
and women for last two years at the Indira Park in Hyderabad while all
the vocal protests has now slowly given way to despair. Officially, now
the economy of the entire Kaghaznagar in Adilabad district of Telangana
state has collapsed.
In separate Telangana, it
was promised during United AP that all dreams will come true and
defunct units will be revived. KCR & Co had promised that they will
look into the matter but nothing has happened. One of India’s earliest
and famous paper mills has shut down formally, with no revival measures
in separate state of Telangana.
