The Congress on Friday has released its final list of candidates by ending weeks of speculation and the actor and national spokesperson Kushboo will not contest the elections with the Mylapore constituency this assembly elections.
Kushboo was anticipated to bag and she is being allotted to former Deputy Mayor ‘Karate’ R. Thiyagarajan and the eight lists of candidates which included M.K. Vishnu Prasad the son of former TNCC president M. Krishnaswamy for Cheyyar.
Other candidates includes Nasey R. Rajesh the son of senior leader Nasey Ramachandran, for Maduravoyal; K. Selvaperunthagai, the TNCC Scheduled Caste wing leader for Sriperumbudur and former MLA Rani Venkatesan for Srivaikuntam.
The nomination of Sreeraj Chokkar who is the son of former MLA R. Chokkar for Sivakasi was a surprise since he was a new entrant into the party, which was an unexpected announcement by the party on Friday.
