DMK today finally announced the names of its candidates for the 9 Assembly constituencies in the Union Territory of Puduchery. They have renominated Karaikkal South Legislator AMH Nazim.
The list of candidates were announced for Muthialpettai, Mannadipattu, Urulayanpettai, Uppalam, Mangalam, Muthaliyarpettai, Karaikkal South, Thattanchavady and Neravi-Thiru-Pattinam.
Geetha Anandan from Neravi-Thiru-Pattinam was fielded once again. She lost to VMC Sivakumar when she fought as an independent in last election. He recently joined ADMK and now is looking for re-election from the constituency.
As per the seat sharing agreement Congress will contest from 21 seats and DMK will contest from 9 seats. Polling for these 30 Assembly seats will take place on May 16th. Congrss is expected to announce its list of candidates soon.
