In what can be called as a breath of relief, Senior IAS officer B P Acharya has won a much needed reprieve from Hyderabad High Court. This is in relation to the allotment of land to Hetero Drugs and Aurobindo Pharma companies allegedly at a lesser price few years back.

This was alleged to be part a quid pro quo for the company’s investments in those companies which were owned by YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. The High Court agreed with the contention made by Acharya’s counsel that he didn’t get any personal benefits.

This was from the land allotments made to these two drug companies, as it was alleged by the CBI and hence, it may be treated as a fabricated case. The court had stalled the investigations, and also gave exemption to him from being present for the trial.

Recently, several officials like Sam Bob and Ratna Prabha won reprieve in the Jagan case from from courts or Centre. One after the other officials are coming out of the cases without allegations being proved. This only goes to show that Jagan is gaining strength step by step.
