At Bowenpally in Secunderabad on Friday a tragic incident has taken place when a 40-year-old man has died after he was forced to do sit-ups in the scorching heat by four young men as 'punishment' for bumping into their car.
The crime has come to light after the victim's body was discovered in the car and the police initially have considered it to be case of death due to sunstroke. But chilling details has emerged after investigators have decided to ascertain why the man had chosen to stay put in the car despite unbearable heat.
The police officials have scanned through footage of CCTV cameras which were installed in the area and they had seen the car parked and the driver being made to do sit-up. The footage also shows that the accused were leaving after snatching away his wallet.
The police personnel have stated that three of the accused have been taken into custody while the fourth is at large and at the time of going to press the identity of the man was yet to be ascertained. The police personnel will investigate the matter at the earliest.
