At Adukkamparai on Monday morning, A. G. Perarivalan a life convict in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case has underwent general medical check-up at the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital (GVMCH).


The Doctors has said he underwent screening at the departments of orthopedics and urology and Perarivalan’s lawyer has also stated that he has also undergone an eye check-up at the hospital. It was said that he has been suffering from refractive errors and therefore he has underwent eye screening at the GH.


Perarivalan has added that the Doctors have already asked him to take care of his diet and avoid consuming protein-rich food as he has been suffering from blood pressure, knee pain and stress. The doctors have insisted him to reduce mutton, Chicken, egg and soya related foods as protein content is more in these foods. 


He has also added that doctors had advised him to take food rich in fibre, vegetables and fruits. As he is always in stressed condition the doctors have urged to him to take good care of his health.
