On Tuesday Thundershowers in few parts of Hyderabad and Medak in Telangana has brought some relief to people reeling under intense heat wave for past three weeks. Meanwhile the State Disaster Management had earlier told that nearly 49 people have died due to heat wave in Telangana till April 23.
The Indian Meteorological Department in-charge director Y K Reddy has stated that temperatures may come down by at least five degrees Celsius in those areas where rains has occurred. On Tuesday in some parts of Hyderabad and Medak districts the rains have coupled with hailstorm.
During the next 48 hours the Meteorological department has said that the heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over many parts in all districts of Telangana. No large change in maximum temperatures over Telangana as they were appreciably above normal at many places over Telangana.
The Meteorological department has added that the highest maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius was recorded at Nizamabad and Ramagundam and the heat wave conditions has prevailed on Tuesday over many parts of Karimnagar, Khammam and Nizamabad districts in Telangana.
