The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) treasurer M.K Stalin when he was campaigning at Thoothukudi has criticized Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko for accusing the DMK.

Stalin had accused Vaiko of fomenting trouble between people belonging to two castes in Kovilpatti during the campaign when he was addressing an election campaign at Kovilpatti on Monday night for the party’s candidate A. Subramanian.

Stalin also added that the DMK would not resort to such tactics as it took pride in following the ideologies of social reformer Periyar E.V. Ramasamy who was against caste discrimination and has strived for social equality.

The DMK Treasurer has also added that to promote amity among people belonging to different communities, the DMK established townships called ‘Samathuvapuram’ across the State. He was addressing the people from his van and was accusing Vaiko for his act.
