According to the election affidavit which was filed by Mr. Panneerselvam he is a two-time Chief Minister and the Minister for Finance and Public Works as well and his personal assets are worth only Rs 8.6 Lakhs and his wife, however has properties worth just over Rs. one crores.
The value of his total movable properties was Rs. 33.20 Lakhs and however his total liabilities are Rs. 25 Lakhs, his wife P. Vijayalakshmi has 200 gm of gold worth Rs. 5 Lakhs movable properties worth Rs. 26.32 Lakhs and 27 acres of agricultural lands and 2,063 sq ft house with their current value at Rs.98 Lakhs.
Meanwhile the Electricity Minister and Athoor candidate Natham R. Viswanathan has declared the total value of his movable assets to be Rs.37.43 Lakhs and that of his spouse at Rs. 70.92 Lakhs and the value of immovable assets was Rs.93 Lakhs and his wife’s Rs.15 Lakhs. His total liability was Rs.34.43 Lakhs and his wife’s was Rs.70.92 Lakhs.
Natham has 105 gm of gold worth Rs.2.25 Lakhs and his wife has 820 gm of gold worth Rs.18 Lakhs and he owns only a second hand car, compared with the 2011 affidavits, both he and his wife’s liabilities have increased manifold while that of the immovable properties have grown in market value.
