On Sunday at Jubilee Hills a female engineering student has died while her friend suffered injuries in an accident and K Devi 21 a B Tech third year student of G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science has died and her friend, S Bharat Simha Reddy 21 a B Com student from Ayyappa Society in Madhapur suffered injuries.
The Jubilee Hills inspector S Venkat Reddy has told when the mishap has occurred the victims were travelling to Devi's house in a Cheverlotte sedan (AP 09 CH 1116) after attending a party at a newly catapulted pub in Gachibowli Financial District and the mishap has occurred at Huda Enclave at 3.45 am, when Devi was about to reach her house.
The inspector has stated that Bharat has lost control over the vehicle, may be due to over speeding and crashed into a tree in the middle of the road and the air bags has popped open after collision. Bharat escaped with injuries but Devi has suffered severe injuries and they were taken to a corporate hospital in Jubilee Hills where Devi succumbed at 6.50 am.
The police have suspected that Bharat was under the influence of liquor and a case was registered against him under sections 304-a and 337 of the IPC and it was also said that Bharat was earlier arrested by Jubilee Hills police in a nuisance case.
