Earlier on Tuesday the rain has brought partial relief to Uttarakhand, where operations are going on to put out forest fires continue on a war footing and meanwhile as God’s grace showers were experienced in the higher reaches of Rudraprayag which includes Kedarnath and Gaurikund.



The Director of the Dehradun Meteorological Centre Bikram Singh has told that parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts has also received light rain and light to moderate rain will be experienced throughout the State by Wednesday morning which will continue for 72 hours.



The Director of Corbett Tiger Reserve Samir Sinha has stated that like other forests, fire incidents have been occurring in the Corbett Tiger Reserve too, but all fires are being controlled and no damage has been caused to the wildlife and the fire has entered the Corbett Tiger Reserve but officials said it had been contained.



Meanwhile the Additional Chief Secretary S. Ramaswami said 11,160 personnel had been deputed to control the fires and the NDRF teams has continued operations, along with the IAF choppers and by Tuesday 1,591 fires had been recorded which was covering 3,466 hectares and on Tuesday 121 fresh fires have broken out.
