On Tuesday a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was found carrying bullets in the cabin baggage was arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) sleuths on screening his baggage has found four 5.66 mm bullets, following which Srikanth (24) was arrested and Srikanth was then handed to RGIA police for further investigation.
The RGIA inspector T Sudhakar has told that he has spoken to Srikanth's commandant at Anantnag and has explained about the incident, while Srikanth on the other hand has said that he has mistakenly carried the bullets in his backpack, who went to Gulbarga to attend his sister's wedding.
On Tuesday morning Srikanth, a 2012 batch constable of CRPF is currently posted at Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir and he was trying to board a Delhi based Jet airways at RGIA.
