The last two terms of government was nice and green for the congress party both at the state and the center. But the 2014 elections is sounding nothing but death knell to the party. At least in the state there is a chance of forming an alliance with some regional party but the situation in center is very bad.
According to reports, Congress is becoming isolated and deserted and it is unable to find a true partner for alliance. As it is, the Trinamool Congress has already left. The Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samajwadi Party is waiting to collapse the government at the earliest. T
hough there are allies in the form of Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra and Karunanidhi in Tamil Nadu, both are facing severe opposition from their people in their states. At this point, who will come forward to join hands with UPA? If that doesn’t happen can Sonia fulfill her dream of seeing son Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister?
