On Wednesday the Mylardevpally cops have arrested two biscuit factory workers who shot at the staff of Geosanchar cash collection agency at Katedan and have seized a country made fire arm from their possession. The cash counter staff has sustained a bullet injury in the stomach and is recuperating at a city-based corporate hospital.


The accused Rahul Sharma 25, a machine technician, and Vikas Kumar Jhatt, 24, machine operator in SLB foods Budwel, hail from Uttar Pradesh and they have been staying in the city at Sriram colony in Jalpally. On May 2, the duo had gone to Geosanchar cash collection agency associated with the SBI, Katendan branch with an intention to rob the staff and Vikas has waited outside the Geosanchar office to watch movement of people and Rahul went to the cash counter manned by Geosanchar staffer.


The Cyberabad commissioner CV Anand has told that Rahul had thought that Prasad will collapse and he could escape with the cash in the counter, but despite being hit with a bullet, Prasad has fought back, panicking Rahul, who has fled from the scene.


The duo has come to city six years ago and to execute the plan, they have purchased a country made fire arm along with two live rounds from Etah district of UP for Rs 1500. Police have arrested the duo from their house in Jalpally and have seized the fire arm from their possession.
