The DMK leader M. Karunanidhi on Sunday has told that no one could prevent the alliance which was led by his party from coming to power in the State after the Assembly elections and their alliance will come to power at any cost as people have reposed their faith on us and the crowd here bears testimony to the trend.
Karunanidhi was rejecting Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu’s criticism that Tamil Nadu was destroyed by the rule of Dravidian parties that constantly fought each other, Mr. Karunanidhi has said on the contrary that the DMK rule had implemented innumerable schemes and had made the State a pioneer in many schemes.
He has also added that they have provided 31 per cent reservation for BCs and 18 per cent for the SCs and declared May 1 a holiday with pay for the workers and he has come down strongly on the AIADMK governance by saying that it had sought to undo many projects including the Anna Centenary Library, New Secretariat and Semmozhi Poonga, just because it was conceived and implemented by the DMK government.
The DMK leader was fully appreciating for his son and party treasurer M.K. Stalin by saying that he was working 100 per cent more than he had worked for the party when he was a youth and he has taken pride and honor in having him as his son and Stalin is working for the betterment of the state in future.
