As because of the delay in the release of the AIADMK manifesto, the DMK chief has said that he would have been surprised if it had come after the polls and the DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Tuesday has alleged that the recently released AIADMK poll manifesto was a copied one and that the freebies offered by the party was an attempt at fooling people.
Karunanidhi has also told that he would have been surprised if it had come after polls, but they have released our manifesto soon after elections were declared but there was a big delay in AIADMK releasing its manifesto and it has come last among political parties and is a copied one without elaborating.
The DMK President was responding to a question on freebies which is being offered in the AIADMK manifesto and he has alleged that such sops, like free mobile phones and free 100 units of electricity, were not being assured with a genuine intention, which was an attempt at fooling people and indicating that freebies were no more relevant.
Meanwhile the DMK party which had offered free color TVs in the 2006 Assembly polls which it won, has currently promised free 3G/4G connection in its poll manifesto for the May 16 assembly polls.
