On Monday (23/05/16) the AIADMK supreme J. Jayalalitha will be sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a record sixth time along with 28 cabinet colleagues at a glittering ceremony for which invitations have been extended to several national leaders of the country.


The ceremony is to be held at noon at the centenary auditorium of Madras University. The sources have stated that from New Delhi the Prime Minister has received an invitation from the Chief Minister and he cannot attend due to his engagements which are planned in advance.


The PM has deputed Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, who shares an excellent rapport with Ms Jayalalitha, for the event, invitations have been sent to Ms Jayalalitha's counterparts in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Navin Patnaik and N. Chandrababu Naidu and a few other Chief Ministers and leaders of opposition parties in Tamil Nadu.


Ms Jayalalitha will be sworn-in as Chief Minister at the head of a 28 member Cabinet, which has an equal mix of experienced leaders and newcomers and she has also given the list of her new Cabinet colleagues.
