The BJP had started buttering Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu for yet another Rajya Sabha term extension for Nirmala Sitharamann ahead of the crucial Rajya Sabha elections and the BJP President Amit Shah was having talks with the AP cm Chandrababu Naidu.

Amit Shah has invited Chandrababu Naidu for the swearing-in ceremony of their government in Assam and Chandrababu Naidu has attended the event last evening and he was given utmost importance there.

Chandrababu was asked to first address the event which marks BJP forming government for the first time in a North Eastern State and this seem to be a ploy to butter Chandrababu ahead of the important Rajya Sabha election where the TDP, the ally of BJP, will get three seats in the upcoming elections in June.

Meanwhile BJP is hoping that one of the seats will be allotted to Nirmala Sitharaman and it was TDP which has nominated her to the Upper House. She only got two years term back then as the election happened due to the sudden demise Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy.
