Sources have stated that V.S. Achuthanandan was not given the top position in the state government, VS was photographed reading a chit during Pinarayi Vijayan's swearing in ceremony which was held on Wednesday and the chit has listed three things which was advisor to the government with Cabinet rank, chairman of LDF, and inclusion in state secretariat.
The impression was that CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, who was sitting next to VS in the front row, handed him the chit and it has now turned out that it was the other way round, where Yechury has said that VS has handed him the chit and apparently, the chit was given to VS by one of his personal staff.
A 2011 circular of the DoPT is currently doing the rounds of various ministries, after having been re-circulated last week and the circular contains guidelines on how officials should behave and interact with MPs or MLAs and since the guidelines are not new, the officers are now eager to know which MP or MLA's displeasure has prompted the recirculation of the circular.
Meanwhile the senior officials who had to attend meetings outside the ministry ended up requesting each other for cars, even asking offices where they were headed to send cars for them and some has finally ended up taking the Metro.
