Who is the best buddy for Babu, who is very rich. Well, if there is
one factor which pulled Babu down 12 years ago was the propaganda that
he was World Bank’s poster boy in India. Now the same World Bank is all
set to offer big help for AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
The
bank has assured that it has all plans to grant the loan which has been
sought by the CRDA for Amaravati region. The recent visit by its
executives was reportedly fruitful in pushing this loan proposal
forward. This is indeed a positive sign for the state's new capital.
Already
department of economic affairs (DEA) has cleared the proposal sent by
Srikanth, head of CRDA and sent it to the World Bank for consideration
in the month of March. Hence now the World Bank sent a delegation for
formal discussion with the CRDA.
The CRDA has
reportedly requested the World Bank to extend ample financial support to
build a range of sustainable urban services and also for the capacity
of urban institutions for the Andhra Pradesh's new capital. If this goes
through, it would be a big slap on the face for the NDA government.
