Earlier on Tuesday the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has successfully underwent open-heart surgery at Princess Grace Hospital in London and the doctors have told that his condition was described as "stable" and also by his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, after the Premier's second cardiac procedure in five years.
Sources have stated that the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani were among several world leaders who have wished Sharif ahead of the surgery and however, in a sign of the continuing bonhomie and good rapport that they share with each other.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had telephoned Prime Minister Modi and has expressed gratitude for Mr. Modi's best wishes for his upcoming operation and speedy recovery.
The MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted late on Monday night that PM Narendra Modi received phone call from PM Nawaz Sharif just before the Pakistan PM is wheeled in for surgery.
