As part of its operation Aakarsha to hit YSRCP strongly, it is known that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has taken the route of Telangana CM KCR. The TRS has successfully pulled in many strong TDP leaders into their fold. Similarly, as many as 18 YSRCP MLAs have now shifted loyalties.

Now sources say that the stage is set for one more high profile defection from YSRCP into TDP which was supposed to happen a while earlier. He is none other than Palamaneru MLA (Chittoor Dist) N. Amarnath Reddy. If this is true it would cause a major jolt to Jagan's camp.

His father was associated for a long time with TDP and also served as an MP, called Ramakrishna Reddy. In 2012, as part of exodus into Jagan camp, he too quit TDP with an excuse that Chandrababu gave a letter favouring Telangana. But now, the tides are changing.

When PRC chairman post was declined to Bhuma Nagireddy, Amarnath Reddy raised his voice against Jagan but didn’t make any moves. But now sources say that everything is in place for his comeback to TDP! This is going to be a major political victory for Chandrababu if Amarnath Reddy comes in.
