City of Destiny Vizag which floored many world celebrities is making waves after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. According to the latest it is comingout that Vizag which is famous for many beautiful beaches will get India's very first sea water pool.
Everyone knows that many youngsters love swimming and go into the sea and oceans but tragically powerful sea currents swallow them ending their lives tragically. Authorities though keep warning boards and even try to keep a watch on them, couldn't do so due to heavy rush.
Now with sea water pool, these kind of accidents will not happen. Saving lives is the main mission of this sea water pool. Sea water pools are elevated pools built on the beach with water filtered from the sea. These are popular in USA and South Africa. Sea water pools constructed will regulater water temperature and protect people from shark attacks.
Administartion has taken this decision as recently youngsters drowned at RK Beach. The four pilot projects would be located at Mangamaripeta, Lawson’s Bay, Rushikonda and Sagaranagar. Government entrusted PTDC and GVMC engineers with the job of setting up sea pools which will be funded by the Tourism Department.
