PM Modi landed in  Delhi after successfully completing  five-nation tour. Modi arrived on Friday morning after wrapping up his tour to Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, the US and Mexico in a grand manner.


BJP leaders received him at the Palam Airport on his return. Opposition parties may criticise his numerous foreign visits but every time Modi came with tangible gains.


Many praise PM Modi for his extraordinary oratory skills but it will be surprising to know that he used 15% fewer words than former PM Manmohan Singh. Modi travelled five countries in three continents in just 140 hours.


In Afghanistan he inaugurated the Salma Dam signalling Afghanistan-India friendsip. The dam will provide 42 MW power to Afghanistan and irrigate regions around Herat ravaged by 15 year drought. Modi was conferred with Amir Amanullah Khan award, Afghanistan's highest civilian award.

In Quatar Modi wooed business leaders to invest in India. He had meal with Indian workers in Qatar and found out their problems.


In Switzerland, PM Modi emerged successful in getting its support for India's entry into Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). He also met business enterpreneurs and invited them to invest in India. 

Modi-students

In US he visited the Arlington Cemetery and paid homage at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Space Shuttle Columbia Memorial.


He paid tribute to Indian-American astronaut Kalpana Chawla, who lost her life in the space shuttle Columbia disaster on Feb. 1, 2003. He also met Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams. PM Modi met US President Barack Obama and later met US CEOs. Modi then spellbound all with his address to Congress where he got 64 rounds of applause and nine standing ovations.

India-Mexico

He visited Mexico and Modi had honour when  Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto drove him in his car to the dinner.
