All Seemandhra students who have been born and brought up in Telangana and also studied in Telangana will be henceforth treated as local students in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in case they shift to their native state before June 2nd 2017. This is the new dictum from AP government.
The President of India Pranab Mukherjee has already signed the file for conferring of local status to the children of Andhra Pradesh employees, thereby ending two years of uncertainty. They would be now treated as locals in AP, if the employees move to AP.
The Centre has also issued a Gazette notification confirming that local status will be conferred to the children of AP employees, who will be relocating to residual of Andhra Pradesh within three years from the bifurcation date. This is a good move from the Centre.
After the much awaited notification, it has to be seen whether there will be really the expected exodus. TRS and Andhra people have patched up and it is evident in the form of GHMC elections, so it has to be seen whether people will leave their comforts in Hyderabad!
