From the last few months, there are rumours that Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao's relative and close—aide, Rameshwara Rao who owns the popular real estate firm, My Home purchased a major stake in the most popular Telugu News Channel, TV9. The rumours have gone viral in media circles.
TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash finally opened up about this rumour finally and here is what he said - "Thanks to media, TV9 is already sold a hundred times. You float a rumor and then it becomes viral on social media. This time the campaign is so intensive and will take time for the dust settle. I can clearly say that there is absolutely no deal with My Home".
He also cleared the other rumour about cutting a deal with Nara Lokesh to launch a new TV channel. "This is another blatant lie in social media. I am very vocal right from beginning not to have any business understanding with politicians. I feel it is very unethical and always opine that media should be independent from politics," Ravi Prakash said.
